Upper East GNAT honours workers(Wednesday, October 10, 2012 Page 22)

The Upper East Regional Executives of the Ghana National Association of Teachers, (GNAT) has honoured one if its drivers for distinguish service to the association. Mr. Latifu Assimiga was presented with GH c 150.00, a citation and half piece of GNAT cloth at this year’s regional celebration of the World Teachers’ Day held at the Jubilee Park in Bolgatanga. He was commended by the executives for attaching professionalism and for been road safety conscious in the discharge of his duties in and outside the region. Meanwhile Ten teachers and non teaching staff were also awarded for excelling in the performance of their various roles in the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), as part of activities to mark this year's World Teachers' Day celebration. They each received half piece of GNAT cloth each, citations, satellite dish and its accompanying receivers as prizes. Those awarded were Mr Adombire Nicholas, GNAT Chairman for the Bongo District, Mr. David King Yin from the Talensi District and Felicia Agambila. The others were. Mr. Patrick Tamgwamyire, Head teacher of Sandema Senior High, Madam Patricia Amana of Kassena-Nankana District, Mr. Edwin Akurugu, Patricia Apebea, and Memunatu Issifu of Bawku West District The rest were Mr Simon Azugah, Local Municipal GNAT Chairman of Bawku, and Mrs. Faustina Adum, head teacher of Kaljusa No.1 Primary School in the Builsa District. -end-
