EP Church Women's Guild donates to Pastors under training

By: Benjamin Xornam Glover, TEMA The National Women’s Guild of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church has donated cash and assorted items valued at GH c 3,000.00 to Evangelical Presbyterian Ministerial Students’ Union at the Trinity Theological Seminary at Legon in the Greater Accra Region. The Guild presented a cash of GH c 800 and items including bags of rice, cakes of soap, soft drinks, boxes of sardines and toiletries to support the students on their training. The donation is part of an annual activity undertaken by the National Women’s Guild. Presenting the items, the President of the Guild, Mrs. Sarah Lewis said the gesture was part of their responsibility and also Christian obligation to support those called into the service of God. She said the donation was the Guild’s contribution towards the upkeep of the Ministerial Students. Mr. Prosper Abetia Sakyi, Vice Chairperson of the Evangelical Presbyterian Ministerial Students’ Union on behalf of the students expressed appreciation to the Guild for its kind gesture and asked the blessings of God for the members.
